ITSC U7/U8 Future Stars: Developmental Training Program

ITSC FUTURE STARS TRAINING PROGRAM (Boys/Girls U7-U8):

 

Island Trees Soccer Club in association with CAS Soccer is pleased to announce formation of ITSC FUTURE STARS Training Program.

 

The ITSC FUTURE STARS is a supplemental training program open to all U7 and U8 players who are currently registered for the In-house Intramural program. The program is designed to enhance the development by providing professional training to young soccer players who are interested in transition to a more competitive travel program at U9 .

The sessions will be dynamic, fast-paced and will focus on all areas of technical development. Coaches are encouraged to participate.

 

Program Highlights:

 

• SAQ Training – Soccer specific speed, agility, balance and coordination activities (with and without the soccer ball).

• Individual, ball oriented, technical training, (attacking/escape moves, passing and shooting. )

• Introduction to on-field positioning.

• Small group attacking combination play (2V1 and 3V2)

• Small group defensive concepts (1V2 and 2V3) pressure, cover and balance.

 

 

Typical Session Set Up:

 

• Group Warm-up and SAQ Training

• Individual technique training

• Small group and team game concepts

• Full sided game

• Group Cool down

 

 

***note on Training Methodology: All technical and technical instruction will be followed by competition games designed to reinforce the training topics.

 

 

 

TRAINING DATES, Saturday September 17, 24 October 1, 15, 22, 29 and November 5, 12

(no session on October 7, Columbus Day Weekend)

 

TIME: Girls U7-U8, 1:00-2:30 PM (90 Minutes)

Boys U7-U8, 2:30-4:00 PM (90 Minutes)

 

LOCATION: Michael F. Stokes Elementary School, 101 Owl Place, Island Trees, NY 11756

 

REGISTRATION FEE : $75.00 PER PLAYER payable to Island Trees Soccer Club
