Island Trees Science Enrichment Project
Do you have cleats that you no longer need? We want them. Are there cleats taking up much needed space in your closet? Now is the time to clean them out. We’ll take them off your hands.
In an effort to keep unnecessary cleats from taking up space in landfills and to also assist families who could use these cleats for their child to play or try a sport, we are collecting cleats of all sports – soccer, football, baseball, lacrosse, softball – and preparing them to be re-distributed for use. There will be collection and pickup boxes set up at our local Stop and Shop and Pathmark in Levittown near customer service as well as in all the schools in the Island Trees school district. In addition, St. James RC Church in Seaford will also house collection boxes in the main office of the religious center. We hope you can and will join in our effort to help families in need and to ease the burden on our environment.
